Drafting a Waste Management Strategy
Phnom Penh, March 2017 – With the support of the Cambodia Climate Change Alliance and in collaboration with the Phnom Penh Capital Hall and IGES, Nexus is working on the development of a waste management strategy for Phnom Penh. We act as a facilitator for the strategy formulation process, organizing technical working groups and gathering experts to develop the strategy and action plan.
Yesterday, over 95 stakeholders gathered for our mid-term strategy formulation workshop, where they discussed the structure of the strategy. Together we elaborated on ideas about adequate waste collection, impact mitigation of waste disposal and public engagement to include in the strategy.
