Once upon a time there was an organization called Nexus Carbon for Development. They worked to scale up the impact of pro-poor, low carbon development projects. They were called Nexus-c4d for short and the public could find out more about them at nexus-c4d.org; they were also on Twitter at @nexus-c4d.
So Nexus-c4d was working alongside its members, providing technical expertise and innovative financial tools. But that wasn’t all. They also established a separate partnership platform called Nexus-Beyond Offsetting (NBO for short). NBO served to engage companies and public institutions on a fair approach to offsetting. Their online home was nexusbeyondoffsetting.org.
But times change. Because the organization’s work achieves more than just reducing carbon emissions– it helps people too– we have elected to adopt the simpler, more encompassing moniker of Nexus, moving forward.
So as of September 28, 2015, no longer will you find separate Nexus-c4d and NBO domains, but a new and improved, one stop shop for all things Nexus: nexusfordevelopment.org. Here you will find information about all of Nexus’ services, including how you can support its award winning projects. Twitter addicts can still get their fill at @nexusfordev.
All of this to say, don’t worry! Behind the fresh new logo and url is the same organization that has been working with its members since 2009 to tackle poverty and climate change.
